Donald R. Larson, age 83, of East Moline, died Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at his home.
Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m., Friday, July 10th at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd.,
6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 11:00 until service time at the funeral home. Burial is in Greenview Memorials Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
Don was born April 21, 1926 in Melcher, IA. the son of Harry L. and Janet (Watson) Larson. He married Jean E. Bergstrom Boone on March 11, 1967 in Moline. She preceded him in death on February 10, 1989.
Don was employed as a machine operator for International Harvester for 26 years, retiring in October, 1985. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Don was a member of Hope United Church of Christ in Moline for many years, but currently a member of Christ United Methodist Church in East Moline. He was also a member of the.American Legion.
