Donald E. "Beaver" Wolf, 73, of Moline, IL died April 22, 2008.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2008 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Visitation will be Sunday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Moline Crimestoppers, Friends of Moline Riverside Park, Ronald McDonald House or the A.S. P.C.A. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal.
Don was born December 13, 1934 in Kewanee, IL to Charles and Helen (Rosenow) Wolf. He married Diane Reed on July 4, 1958.
Don was a Lineman Journeyman (Crewleader) for Iowa-Illinois Gas and Electric Company retiring in 1995. He was U.S. Marine Sergeant serving from 1952-1955.
Don was a member of IBEW, local Union 109, holding positions of President ('74-'80) and Business Manager ('80-'83). He was a Dad's Club baseball coach and longtime coach and fan of ASA softball. Euchre, golfing, gardening and lunch with his friends brought him great pleasure in his retirement.
Don enjoyed his Florida friends (and pranksters) and the time spent at Quail Run and his island cabin. He was also a tireless volunteer and proud of his work as a board member of the Moline Crimestoppers.
He loved his family, his children, friends, and especially his bulldogs.
