Donavon A. Nicholson, age 80, of East Moline, died Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Trinity, Rock Island.
Per Donavon's request, cremation has been accorded. There will be no visitation or services. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. Moline is assisting the family.
Donavon was born October 17, 1930 in Moline, the son of Roger E. and Margaret Jones Nicholson. He married Caroline Johnson on March 10, 1956 in Rock Island.
Donavon was employed as a tool and dye maker for John Deere Harvester for 38 years. He was a Navy veteran. Donavon enjoyed fishing, bowling, and meeting with the John Deere Retirees Club. He also loved all family activities.
