Donna L. Smith, 84, of Rock Island, IL, died Tuesday, October 03, 2017, at home.
Cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Donna was born on January 3, 1933, in Erie, IL., the daughter of Frank and Nona Palmer Ryan. Mrs. Smith married Larry Smith on May 29, 1964, and he passed away on September 30, 1998. Mrs. Smith worked for many years as a local waitress and barmaid. She also managed a large rooming house for years.
Mrs. Smith loved spending time with her grandchildren, reading, working puzzle books and making her Christmas calendars for all her special people and going out to eat with her friends!
Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Sam) Tyler, Lyles, TN; son, Rick Davis, East Moline, IL; step daughter, Kathy Smith; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; several long-time friends.
Mrs. Smith was preceded by her husband; parents; sister, Vada Simoens; brothers, Richard and Robert Ryan; stepdaughter, Jackie Zucco.
