Donna J. Pobanz, 86, of Aurora, formerly of East Moline, IL, died Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Asbury Gardens, North Aurora, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior to the service on Friday, July 21, 2017, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memorial Estates. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Donna was born on July 27, 1930, in Moline, IL, the daughter of William and Mildred Earlonson Poppy. She married Edward Elmer Pobanz on August 1, 1948, in Cambridge, IL, and he preceded her in death on January 19, 1990. She worked as a travel agent for 30 years last employed in 1992 by Gulliver’s Travel in Moline.
Donna was a member of card club.
Survivors include her daughter, Pamela Scott, North Aurora, IL; grandchildren, Christopher Scott, North Aurora, IL, and Jennifer Scott, North Aurora, IL; great granddaughter, Kiara Scott-Bowman, North Aurora, IL; sister, Ila (Vernon) Wilson, Orion, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, William Elmer Pobanz; son-in-law, Mark A. Scott; brother, Eldon Poppy.
