Donovan "Donnie" J. Stephens, 36, of Colona, IL, died Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery. Memorials may be made to his family.
Donovan was born on March 9, 1976, in Moline, IL, the son of Sonny and Sally (LeMaster) Stephens. He owned DJS Flooring in Colona and was well known for his artistic tile setting. He married Laura M. Tackett on April 23, 2011, in Milan, IL. Donnie attended Heritage Wesleyan Church in Rock Island and was a member of the Greater Iowa Reef Society. He was an avid rider of all recreational vehicles and could fix anything. Donnie enjoyed camping, fishing, the outdoors and good times on the river. Above all, he loved life, people, and his family and friends.
