Doris Jump Mann, age 93, of Moline, IL, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2012, surrounded by family and loved ones at her home.
Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date at National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal.
The former Doris McFeely was born October 13, 1919 in Forest Park, IL, the daughter of James and Bessie (Doty) McFeely. Doris attended schools in Oak Park, IL. She graduated from Oak Park Hospital School of Nursing, (Loyola University) in 1941. She was appointed an officer in the U.S. Navy in 1942 and served as a Navy Nurse until 1946.
She married Raymond O. Jump in 1946. They had six children. Mr. Jump died in 1971. In 1974 she returned to Nursing at the John Deere Davenport Works as an Industrial Nurse, retiring in 1984. She married Richart Mann in 1982. After living in San Diego for 10 years, they returned to Moline. She loved sports very much. She was a fan of the Moline Maroons, the University of Illinois, the Chicago Bears, and the Chicago Cubs. Doris was loved and cherished my many and forgotten by few.
