Doris “Dori” Joy Pfau, 86, of East Moline passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at New Perspective Senior Living in Silvis.
A funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 24, 2022, at First United Presbyterian Church in Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will be at Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the church or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Dori was born on October 22, 1935, in Morris, Illinois the daughter of Joice and Kathryn Murphy Enger. She married Marvin W. Pfau on October 20,1956 in Ottawa, Illinois.
Dori was employed as an administrative assistant in the Human Resources Department at Case IH in East Moline retiring in 1995 after 20 years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Pinnacle Country Club. Dori was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. She also took great pride in delivering for Meals on Wheels and transporting cancer patients to their appointments.
She is survived by her husband; daughter, Julie Thorpe of Moline; granddaughter, Brooke Thorpe of Moline; sister, Alice (Bill) Earling.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lauren Pfau, parents and a half-brother, Jimmy Creed.
