Dorothy C. Beck, 96, of Geneseo, formerly of Orion, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2009 at Good Samaritan Village, Geneseo.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at Orion United Methodist Church with a visitation one hour prior before services at the church. Graveside servives will be 2 p.m. at the Alpha Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Geneseo Good Samaritan Village. Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd is assisting the family with arrangements.
Dorothy C. Beck was born in Colfax, IA on February 16, 1912 the daughter of R.G. Carson and Margaret Olive (Ogden) Carson. She graduated from United Township High School in East Moline. She married Elmer E. Beck on May 31, 1941.
She worked at Dimock & Gould Lumber Yard in East Moline and later worked at Hardin's Sales & Service and Augie's & Earl's Chevrolet retiring in her mid 70's. She was a member of the Orion United Methodist Church.
