Dorothy A. Doyle, 86, of Silvis, died Monday, May 30, 2011 at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis.
Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M., Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 5:00 ~ 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Dorothy's family for a fund to be established.
Dorothy was born on February 22, 1925 in Osage, Iowa to Bernard "Ben" and Adelaide "Hattie" Seibert Hartogh. She married Roy Doyle in Chicago. He preceded her in death on November 28, 2006.
Dorothy worked as a machinist at Rock Island Arsenal until the end of WWII, a telephone operator, and in retail before devoting her life to her family as a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and her grandchildren.
