Dorothy Johnson, 92, of Moline, died November 12, 2009 at Trinity Pathway Hospice, Bettendorf.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, November 16, 2009 with a visitation one hour prior at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Burial of cremains will be in Rock Island National Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to Bethel Wesley United Methodist Church, Moline
Dorothy was born March 25, 1917 in Silvis to Severin and Gladys (Park) Lawrick. She married Edward H. Johnson on January 1, 1941. He preceded her in death in 1993.
Dorothy was active in women's softball for many years. She enjoyed playing tennis and was the Silvis Tennis City champion for 3 years in a row as a youth. She volunteered as an election judge and helped in the schools with eye testing.
She is survived by Sons Gene Johnson of Moline and Glenn Johnson; Grandchildren Nina,Teri, Timothy, Paul, Peter and Joel; Brothers Theodore (Maureen) Lawrick of California and William (Pat) Lawrick of Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her husband, and brothers Donald, Frank and Alphonse.
