Dorothy A. Kakavas, 78 of Moline died August 4, 2006 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m, Monday, August 7, 2006 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Visitation will be Sunday from 1-4 p.m. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal.
Dorothy was born May 17, 1928 in Moline to Harold and Hannah (Claus) Roman. She married John W. Kakavas on August 26, 1951 at Salem Lutheran Church, Moline. He preceded her in death on February 7, 2004.
Dorothy was a retired teacher and a retired owner and general contractor of a real estate development company; Your Home Contractor.
Dorothy was creative and passionate about life. She designed and invented many practical and beautiful items. Dorothy was a strong and energetic woman, she enjoyed many things, but above all she dedicated her life to her children.
