Dorothy Kitchens, 87, of Aledo, IL, died Monday, February 25, 2013, at Genesis Medical Center, Aledo, IL.
Per her wishes there will be no services and cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will be at Lann
Cemetery, Amory, Mississippi. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Dorothy was born on September 15, 1925 in Amory, MS, the daughter of Lester and Tyna (Irvin) Johnson
She married James Edward Kitchens, Sr. in Sulligent, AL, on January 25, 1941. He preceded her in death in May of 1975. She was formerly a member of Bethel Assembly of God in Rock Island. Dorothy enjoyed sewing and knitting.
