Dorothy Long, 91, of East Moline formerly of Moline died July 23, 2006 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL.
There will be a graveside service12:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Visitation will be from 11-12 p.m. Wednesday at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline
Memorials may be made to East Moline Public Library.
Dorothy was born September 20, 1914 in Polo, IL to Clifford and Elizabeth (Paul) Reynolds. She married Virgil Long on December 14, 1946 in Polo, IL . He preceded her in death on April 12, 2003.
After graduating high school in 1932, she taught stenography and typing at a technical school in Washington, D.C. She loved reading, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a past member and president of the Moline Garden Club.
