Dorothy L. Moose, age 94, of Moline, died Friday, November 16, 2012, at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Monday, November 26, 2012, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 - 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 3:00 - 5:00 PM on Sunday, November 25. Burial is at National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Memorials may be made to Community Christian Church, Moline.
Dorothy was born June 18, 1918, in Mendon, MO, the daughter of Fulgentius Fingal and Minnie (Anderson) Ackeberg. She married Samuel O. Moose on October 22, 1960, in Tampico, IL. He preceded her in death on October 31, 2008.
Dorothy was employed as a clerk for the Burlington Northern Railroad until her retirement. She was a charter member of the Woman's Traffic Club. Dorothy was also a member of the Christian Women's Club. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and working at Community Christian Church. Dorothy was very proud of her Swedish heritage. Dorothy's love for people shined thru in the way she served her family, friends and community.
