Dorothy I. Morrison, age 88, of Moline, went home to be with the Lord at her daughter's home on Saturday, July 3, 2010.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Calvary Church of the Quad Cities.
Dorothy was born May 3, 1922 in Fairfield, IA., the daughter of William and Margaret (Gohn) Smith. She married Lawrence Anderson Morrison on August 27, 1940 in Fairfield, IA. He preceded her in death on November 8, 1997.
Dorothy was a charter member of Calvary Church of the Quad Cities. She was very strong in her faith, and supportive of her husband and family. Dorothy had a servant's heart for helping others, and she always put others before herself. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially playing card games with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
