Dorothy Power, 95, of East Moline, died May 26, 2009 at her home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church Kitchen Fund.
Dorothy was born February 7, 1914 on the Rock Island Arsenal to Percy and Cora (Cox) Skelton. She married Hiram Blaker Power on June 29, 1935. He preceded her in death in 1993.
She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline where she was involved in their women's group. She was also a member of the Geneseo C.C. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed sewing, knitting, baking and socializing at the Colona Senior Center. She took great delight in spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
