Dorothy M. Reedy, 93, of Moline died May 18, 2007 at Trinity Pathway Hospice in Bettendorf, IA.
A memorial service will be 2p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2007 with a visitation from 12:30 p.m. to service time at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Endowment, InTouch, Pathway Hospice, or a charity of your choice.
Dorothy was born March 22, 1914 in Burlington, IA to David and Christine Petersen Gustafson. She married Patrick Reedy on January 26, 1936 in Aledo, IL. He preceded her in death on December 23, 1987.
Dorothy was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Moline where she belonged to the former Good Will Hospital Circle and the former Deborah Unit. She was also a 60 plus year member of the Honor Bright Circle of Kings Daughters. She was an avid bridge player and loved to travel. She played the piano at the Aledo Opera House when silent movies would play. She also played the piano for the chorus at the InTouch Adult Day Center. She loved Notre Dame football and Bulls basketball.
Dorothy genuinely cherished and enjoyed her family. She was so very proud of her daughter, her three grandchildren and her five precious great grandchildren. They were her joys in living.

Dorothy's family would like to thank Pathway Hospice, Dr. Bob Flowers, Dr. John Oppenheimer, Intouch Adult Day Center, her caregivers Mary and Phil Garza and her many family members and friends who showed her compassion, friendship and love.
She was preceded in death by her husband, son-in-law George Dodd, parents, her brother Russell her sister Janet.
