Douglas Weir, 60, of Moline, IL, died Sunday, September 22, 2013, at UnityPoint Health - Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, IL, after a sudden illness.
Per his wishes cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, spend time making memories with loved ones because Doug always said, "Life is short".
Doug was born on June 1, 1953, in Henry, IL, the son of Cecil and Doris Weir. He married Steffani Smilgis on July 8, 1988, in Moline, IL.
Doug enjoyed fishing, boating, cars, and Harley Davidson motorcycles. Above all, "Papa" loved spending time with his grandson, Cole. We take great comfort in the fact that this last year with his grandson was the best year of his life.
