Duaine Edward Hass, 59, of Orion, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center, Rockford, IL surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 27, 2021, at New Life Fellowship. Visitation will be from 4-7p.m. Sunday, September 26, 2021, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Burial will be at Sherrard Cemetery. Memorials may be made to New Life Fellowship Moline Royal Rangers.
Duaine was born on October 25, 1961, in Wisconsin Rapids, WI, the son of Carl and Marilynn (Weidner) Hass. He married Kathryn Bloomer on October 16, 1982, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Appleton, WI. Duaine was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, camping and outer space. He enjoyed inventing, scuba diving, snorkeling, as well as cooking. He was a Green Bay Packers fan. Duaine’s greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and children. He also enjoyed traveling with the love of his life Katie.
He touched many lives as a youth minister at World Thrust Christian Center in Orion, IL. He also served as an Elder at New Life Fellowship, Moline for 5 years. He was known as a very generous soul who gave his life to serve others.
Survivors include his parents, wife, children, Rachel (Timothy) McGough, Adam (Erin) Hass and Daniel Hass; grandchildren, Kaden, Caleb, Kayleigh, Noah, Ashley, Kenzie, Kyla, and Kendrick; granddog, Raikou; brothers, Scott (Carmen) Hass, Craig (Shawn) Hass, Todd (Michelle) Hass, and Anthony (Shaunda) Hass; and many nieces and nephews; honorary daughter, Sarah (James) Roberts; and honorary grandson, Hunter.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Grandma and Grandpa Weidner & Grandma and Grandpa Hass.
