Duane Park

Duane (Dewey) Park, 80, of Moline, passed away, Thursday, May 20, 2021, at UnityPoint Health Trinity Rock Island.

Visitation will be from 4-6pm Monday, May 24, 2021, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline.  Cremation rites will be accorded.  A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society.  Attendees are to wear a face mask and observe social distancing.

Duane was born on September 13, 1940, in Moline, the son of Harold and Katherine (Herbert) Park.  He married Marcella Griffin on October 28, 1962 in Moline.  Duane was a Color Lab Supervisor for Deere & Co. for 30 years.  He was an ASA softball coach for 30 years as well as a pitching coach.  Duane enjoyed the love of his family, playing softball, crafts, crossword puzzles, fishing, camping, and bowling.

Survivors include his wife, children, Jennifer (Ted) Cole, Dennise (Bob) Nash, Penny Wethington, Kenneth (Beth) Park, and Bennjamin (Kathleen) Park; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother, Darrel (Sandy) Park; sister, Katherine Overton.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
