Elaine was born on July 29, 1947, in Davenport, IA, the daughter of Elda (Hessman) and Ralph Cox. She was raised on a farm near Eliza, IL. She married Mark Czerwinski on February 4, 1999, in Reno, NV. In her younger years, Elaine worked at Franks Foundry in Moline, IL; she later worked for John Deere Seeding & Harvester as the payroll supervisor, retiring after 32 years. Elaine always prioritized the needs of others over her own. She was a remarkably nurturing, affectionate, and empathetic person. Her nickname as the "Cookie Lady" stemmed from her well-known homemade cookies, which she delighted in sharing with those around her.
