E.J. Weidner, age 90, of Osco, died Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Hammond- Henry Hospital Extended Care, Geneseo.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 A.M., Monday, May 24, 2010 at Mary Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Orion. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 23, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Kirk, Huggins, & Esterdahl Funeral Home, 1301 4th Street, Orion. Burial is in Western Township Cemetery, Orion.
E.J. was born July 27, 1919 in Humphrey, Nebraska to Ferdinand and Agnes Brandl Weidner. He married Emma C. Jasper on February 20, 1939 in Davenport. She preceded him in death on July 1, 2006.
E.J. was a molder an later a foreman at John Deere in East Moline. He then farmed for several years and later became Osco Township Road Commissioner. He was a member of Mary Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Orion. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking.
