Earl P. Jackson, 86, of East Moline, died September 8, 2009 at Forest Hill Health and Rehab, East Moline.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Rock Island National Cemetery. Family and friends wishing to attend the service need to be at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. by 12:15 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation.
Earl was born February 20, 1923 in Hickman, KY to Luther and Roberta (Hendrick) Jackson. He married Carolyn Shetler on March 17, 1956. She preceded him in death on March 4, 2006.
Earl was a cable line installer for Western Electric. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a former 32nd degree Mason and Shriner. He loved to play guitar and sing at church services at the nursing home.
