Earl L. Johnson, Jr., 64, of Silvis, died January 23, 2008 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.
Funeral services will be 11a.m. Saturday, January 26, 2008 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Visitation will be Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to his family.
Earl was born May 14, 1943 in West Frankford, IL to Earl L. and Miriam J. (Norton) Johnson. He married Judith Erickson on October 21, 1961 in East Moline.
Earl was a tool and die maker for 30 years for Case IH retiring in 1991. He attended Heritage Wesleyan Church, Rock Island. Earl loved to fish whenever there was a possible moment. He was an avid bowler with the retiree's league at Highland Park, Moline and also enjoyed archery.
