Earl Charles Rutledge, 76, of Warsaw, MO, formerly of Orion, IL, died Saturday, January 21, 2012 in Fort Meyers, FL.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2012 at Western Township Cemetery, Orion, IL. There will be a visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2012 at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., 1301 4th Street, Orion. The Orion American Legion will be providing Military Honors. Memorials may be made to his family.
Earl was born on July 14, 1935 in Oakwood, IA to Elmer and Iva (Lottman) Rutledge. He married Joyce Folker. Earl worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Allied Stone Rock Quarry in Milan, IL for 33 years. He served in the Marines from 1954-1956 and was a member of the VFW in both Orion, IL and Warsaw, MO as well as the Warsaw MO American Legion. Earl loved to spend his time fishing, camping, and playing cards. He loved his family very much.
