Edith M. Anderson

Edith "Edie" M. Anderson passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer at her daughter's home in Moline. Honoring her wishes, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Edie was born on May 20, 1927 in Eldridge, IA, the third daughter of John and Marie Andrews. She was united in marriage to Louis Buckley and later married Kaye Anderson. Edie was employed by the Northwest Bank and Trust, Jewel Food Store, and the Rock Island Post Office retiring in 1982. She was a graduate of St. Ambrose College.
Edie was a very loving and generous person. She enjoyed going on the riverboats and all of the friends she made there, bingo, antique stores, and had a very special love for her Boston terrier dogs. Edie was very considerate and enjoyed sending cards and inspirational verses to friends and family. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and was always there for her family. She will be missed by all that knew her.
