Edward Alan Zurcher, Sr., 70, of Andover, IL, died Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at home.
Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 25, 2013, at Augustana Lutheran Church, Andover, IL. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, August 24, 2013, at the church. Per his wishes cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to his family. Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., Orion, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Edward was born on May 4, 1943, in Moline, IL, the son of Edward and Caroline (Ranard) Zurcher. He married Nancy Strandberg on July 16, 1966, in Woodhull, IL.
Edward worked at International Harvester Farmall for 20 years and was a volunteer fireman for Andover. He was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church and a member of the church council. Edward loved sports and NASCAR. He was a Dodgers fan but enjoyed watching the Cubs with his family. He enjoyed playing cards and Farkle with Don, Sal, Ron, Kab and the kids and grandkids. Above all, Edward loved his grandkids and great granddaughter.
