Eleanor L.E. Anderson, age 96, of San Jose, Ca, formerly of Moline, died Sunday, December 12, 2010 at Lincoln Glen Manor, San Jose.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 20, 2010 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial is at Western Township Cemetery, Orion. Memorials may be made to Pathways Hospice Foundation 585 N. Mary Ave. Sunnyvale, CA. 94085 or a Charity of Choice.
Eleanor was born July 12, 1914 in Lynn Center, Il, the daughter of A.W. and Maria (Johnson) Lindstrom.
She married Arthur G. Anderson on August 24, 1935 in Orion. He preceded her in death on April 19, 1970.
Eleanor lived in Orion from 1935-1956, she then lived in Moline from 1956-1999, then Laurinburg, NC to be near youngest daughter Anita from 1999-2003. In 2003 she moved to San Jose, CA, to live with her daughter Marilyn and Bruce Appler. Eleanor was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Moline where she was active in W.E.L.C.A. and the Altar Guild.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Mark Appler, one brother, Ivan Lindstrom, two half sisters, Pearl Winckler and Evelyn Bjork, and sons-in-law, Charles Steinbrink and Walter Drobshoff.
