Eleanor "Ellie" DeMay, 73, of Orion, died Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at Trinity Pathway Hospice, Bettendorf.
A Memorial Mass celebrating her life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, September 10, 2011, at Mary, Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 1402 10th Street, Orion, with a visitation from 9- 11 a.m. prior to the mass. Ellie's wishes were to be cremated and in lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Mary, Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd. is assisting the family.
Ellie was born July 16, 1938, in Marietta, IL, the daughter of Isaac and Frances Derry Rowland. She married August Lawrence DeMay, Jr. on August 25, 1956 in Peoria.
