Eleanor E. Anderson

Eleanor E. Anderson, 95, of Crest Health Center at Ridgecrest Village, Davenport, formerly of Moline died Friday, May 22, 2009 at Crest Health Center.
A memorial service for Eleanor will be 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 21, 2009 at Koning Center at Ridgecrest Village, Davenport. Visitation will be a half an hour prior to the service at the center. It is requested that flowers be omitted. Memorials may be made to the Koning Charitable Fund at Ridgecrest. Burial of the cremated remains is at Riverside Cemetery, Moline on June 19, 2009 at 2 p.m.
Eleanor was born February 11, 1914 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada to John and Brita Olin Anderson. She married Melvin E. Anderson on May 18, 1946 in Chicago. He died December 26, 1993.
Eleanor did accounting at various locations in Chicago and the Quad Cities. She retired from Peterson Parking Lot Striping, Inc. She was an active member at Bethel-Wesley Methodist Church, Moline, and St. John's Methodist Church in Davenport. She was active with the Moline Kings Daughters and a volunteer for many organizations at Ridgecrest Village. She enjoyed gardening, photography and needlework; and, after her 85th birthday, using her computer writing and making cards.
Her survivors include niece Arlene Timosciek (the late Wally), Downers Grover, IL; nephew Bob Anderson (Judy) Swartz Creek, MI; nephew Melbert Peterson (Betty), Moline, IL; niece Eilene Peterson (Ron), Andover, IL; and niece Jo Peterson, Clearwater, FL and many great and great-great nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband and brothers; Ted, George and Roy and nephew Bill Peterson.
