Eleanor M. Richardson

October 19, 1931 — March 28, 2009

Eleanor M. Cuerington Richardson, 77, of East Moline, died March 28, 2009 at her home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m Monday, April 6, 2009 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 1501- 6th Avenue, East Moline. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church Scholarship Fund in honor of Aaron Cuerington and Russell Smith.
Eleanor was born October 19, 1931 in St. Georges, Bermuda to Cecily Dowling and Joseph Edward Waldron.
She married Aaron Cuerington on September 15, 1961. He preceded her in death in April of 1991. She later married Rodney Richardson on April 25, 1999. He preceded her in death in March of 2007.
Eleanor was a homemaker and made cakes for special occasions including weddings, anniversaries and birthdays. She enjoyed world traveling and taking cruises. She was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church and the Quad City Negro Heritage Society. Her children and grandchildren were the joys of her life. She treasured the time spent with them.
