Elizabeth Husson Cooper, age 91 of Moline died Saturday, June 24, 2006 at Pathway Hospice-Trinity at Terrace Park, Bettendorf.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Somerset, KY. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, TN.
Elizabeth was born May 18, 1915 in Colfax, IA the daughter of Alfred D. and Sarah Owens Husson. She married Dr. Arthur L. Cooper on September 5, 1942 in Enterprise, AL. He preceded her in death in 1975.
Elizabeth received her nursing degree in St. Paul. MN. She served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps from June 25, 1941 until October 30, 1942. Elizabeth was employed as an office manager/nurse in her husband's medical practice for 22 years. She enjoyed bridge, golf, fishing, and especially spending time with her family. Elizabeth was a member of First Christian Church in Moline and Somerset and also The Garden Club in both cities.
