Elizabeth Mary Meincke

Elizabeth Mary Meincke, age 89, of East Moline, died Friday, October 29, 2010 at her home.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-39th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is 4:00-7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial is at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen for the cure.
Elizabeth was born December 14, 1920 in East Moline, the daughter of Rene and Margaret (Van Acker) DeRaedt. She married Howard Meincke on January 31, 1947 in East Moline. He preceded her in death in January, 1995.
Elizabeth was employed as a psychiatric aid at the former East Moline State Hospital for 23 years, from 1956-1979. She was a longtime member and chaplain of the Moose Women Auxiliary in East Moline.
