Elsa Eihl Johnson, age 93, formerly of Moline, died Friday, October 19, 2007 at Silver Cross Pavilion, Rock Island.
Memorial services will be 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Moline. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Moline or a charity of choice. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. Moline is assisting the family.
Elsa was born in Glenwood City, WI the daughter of Ernst Gerhard and Ella Eliza (Mumme) Koosmann. She married Dr. Frederich L. Eihl who preceded her in death on August 6, 1981. She then married Arthur Nels Johnson on July 3, 1983 in Moline.
Elsa taught in a one room schoolhouse in Wisconsin. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was also a member of Trinity Women's Organization; Elizabeth Jane Brashear Circle of King's Daughters; Chapter KT-P.E.O. ; The Rock Island County Medical Auxiliary; and Short Hill Country Club where she was a lifetime member. Elsa also enjoyed playing golf, tennis, bridge and sewing..
