Elsie Jane Partain Eckhardt passed away on Friday, May 4, 2007 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.
Private family services were held on Monday, May 7, 2007 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. Moline. Burial was in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.
Elsie was born August 9, 1947 in Hillsdale, IL the daughter of Claude and Velma (Dockman) Partain. Living most of her life in the Quad City area until 1970 when she married Keith Eckhardt on January 25 in Dixon, IL. They lived in rural Orion ,farming and raising their 4 children. In 1995 Elsie opened a restaurant in Andover, closing years later due to poor health. Elsie was a faithful wife and mother who loved family deeply. She had a kind word for everyone she knew. Elsie will be sadly missed!
Elsie is survived by her husband Keith Eckhardt of Orion, Diane (Bill) French of Peoria, Byron (Peggy) Eckhardt of Gainsvile, GA, Edgar (Liza) Eckhardt of Orion, Keith Eckhardt II of Orion, 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren , along with brothers Claude James (Carrol) Partain, Silvis , Jim (Shirley) Partain of Florida, and sister Betty Harrison of Colona
Elsie is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Bessie Weatherington, Anna McRoy, Ruth Van Winkle, Shirley Van Winkle, Silvia Eichart and Dutch Dennis.
