Elsie A Olson

Elsie A. Olson, 98, of Rock Island, died Monday, February 7, 2011 at Silver Cross at Friendship Manor, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Private family burial will be at Rose-Lawn Memorial Estate, Moline at a later date. Memorials may be made to Southpark Presbyterian Church, Rock Island.
Elsie was born on March 10, 1912 in Moline to Herman and Ida Matson Johnson. She married Martin Olson on April 21, 1934 in Moline. He preceded her in death on June 18, 1983.
Elsie was a member of Southpark Presbyterian Church, Rock Island. She was a fantastic seamstress who made clothing for herself and her family. She enjoyed cooking and she was known for her outstanding pies. Elsie also enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends. She was a very family oriented person.
