Elva Alice "Tudi" Baldwin

Elva Alice "Tudi" Baldwin, age 71, of Colona, died Friday, July 15 2011 at Trinity Pathway Hospice, Bettendorf.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial is at National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Memorials may be made to VNHA or Trinity Hospice.
Tudi was born April 30, 1940 to Bailey C. and Alice Weatherington Floyd.at her parents home in rural Hardin County, IL. She graduated from Rosiclare Community High School as valedictorian in the class of 1957. She was united in marriage to Virgil Baldwin, Jr. on February 28, 1959. To this union were born two sons, Gregory and Jason.
After their marriage, Tudi and Virgil moved immediately to the Quad Cities. She began her working career here at the old East Moline State Hospital. She later worked for John Deere Medical, the US Army Management Engineering Training Agency (AMETA) and AMCCOM retiring from the Material Management Directorate in 1996 after 25 years service. She loved reading, crossword puzzles, and playing the piano.
Tudi played in a card club for over 25 years. Most of all, she loved her family. She was always concerned about the welfare of her family as well as her friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Dolan and Charles.
