Emil P. Benda, age 85, of Moline, died Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.
Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. There will be no services. Inurnment will be at the National Cemetery. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. Moline is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Emil was born on January 10, 1928 in Toledo, Iowa, the son of Charlie and Mary (Baldwin) Benda. He married Ingeborg and was employment was with the U.S. Army for 28 years.
