Emma Jean Hanson, age 75, of Rock Island, died Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline.
Per her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 28, 2010 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 9:00-10:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment is in National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Memorials may be made to National Alzheimer's Association.
Emma was born January 14, 1935 in Fulton, IL the daughter of Albert and Ruby (Hook) Bokholdt. She married Earl Hanson on September 17, 1955. He preceded her in death on November 19, 2005
Emma was a registered nurse working at the former Moline Public Hospital, and also for Dr. Anis Ahmad in the Medical Arts Building. She also worked in the medical billing department for John Deere Insurance, retiring in 1995. Emma was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church in Rock Island. She enjoyed boating on the river, and spending time with her family. Emma loved being a nurse, always a nurse, but above all she had a strong love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
