Erwin W. Mohr

Erwin W. Mohr, 84, of Moline, passed away Thursday June 27, 2024, at UnityPoint Health Trinity, Rock Island.

Memorial visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday August 24, 2024, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Private inurnment will be at Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Moline Booster Club, of which Erwin and his wife, Sandra, were both past presidents.

Erwin was born on May 21, 1940, in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Alfred and Clara (Martin) Mohr. He married Sandra L. Swanson on October 12, 1963, at the Augustana College Chapel in Rock Island. She preceded him in death on April 27, 2004. Erwin was an engineer and worked as an U.S. Army civilian contractor, retiring in 2002. He was a member of the Svithoid Club, Moline and heavily involved with the Moline Booster Club. He enjoyed sports, especially the Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears. He also liked to be outdoors and fishing. Above all, Erwin was most happy when he was with his grandkids.

Survivors include his sons, Chris (Samantha) Mohr, Stephen (Melissa) Mohr; grandchildren, Hannah, Carson, Henrik, Mirabelle; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Linda (Dale) Nygaard; brother-in-law, James (Susan) Swanson.

He was preceded in death by his wife; sister, Dorothea; brothers, Martin, Carl, Herald.
