Eunice Ann Penfold

Eunice Ann Penfold, 81, of East Moline, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018, at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 16th, 2018, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4800 Kennedy Drive, East Moline.  Visitation will be Friday, June 15th, from 4-7 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Ave., Moline.  Burial will take place at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.  Memorials may be made to the Humanitarian Fund with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Eunice was born on January 15, 1937 in Idaho Falls, ID, the daughter of Orville Sutherland and Ruth Gertrude Christensen Cox.  She married Garn Farley Penfold on October 12, 1962 in Idaho Falls, ID.  Eunice was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  In her early years, Eunice was a missionary for the church for 1 ½ years and she enjoyed serving the church in many capacities throughout her life.  Eunice enjoyed baking and spending time with her family.  The highlight of her life was her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Garn; children, Barry (Mari-Val) Penfold, ID, Cindy (Rob) Cuzner, WI, Jeffrey (Jessica) Penfold, CO, Kurt (Kristina) Penfold, UT, and Alisa (Josh) Jenkins, UT; 21 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 5 siblings.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one great grandchild and five siblings.
