Evelyn L. Adams

Evelyn L. Adams, 92 of Moline, died March 22, 2005, at Parkview Terrace, East Moline.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2005 at First Covenant Church, Moline. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Burial will be at Riveside Cemetery, Moline. Memorials may be made to Quad Cities Kidney Center, Parkview Terrace and Christian Friendliness.
Evelyn was born April 4, 1912 in Moline to Erik W. and Selma C. Johnson Welander. She married Edward E. Adams on April 5, 1933 in Moline. He preceded her in death on August 21, 1986.
Evelyn worked for Bergman Lefkow, Chicago and was a secretary at Norman Keller, Moline. In 1990 she retired at the age of 78 from the United States Army Weapons Command at Rock Island Arsenal in the clerical department.
Evelyn was a lifetime member of First Covenant Church, Moline where she participated in Kings Helpers Society, Ladies Aid Society, Missionary Circle, Covenant Women and the church choir for over 60 years. She was also a member of Leisure Time Club, Tri City Dahlia Society, Christian Friendliness, International Order of Good Templars, After Five Christian Women's Group, IL Retirees, and Arsenal Chorus. She enjoyed knitting, cross stitching, doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her family and friends.
