Evelyn Elizabeth Liljegren, 98 a resident at Angelus Retirement Home in East Moline, died May 18, 2007 at Trinity Pathway Hospice in Bettendorf, IA.
Funeral services will be 11:00a.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at First Covenant Church 3303-41st Street, Moline. Burial will be in Rose-Lawn Memorial Estate, Moline. Memorials may be made to James Liljegren International Interns Ministry or to the church. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. is assisting the family.
Evelyn was born May 26, 1908 in Ft. Dodge, IA to Charles and Alice Ryberg Johnson. She married Mauritz Liljegren on July 21, 1932 in Dixon, IL. He preceded her in death on March 19, 1969.
Evelyn was a member of First Covenant Church, Moline where she was a long-time Sunday school teacher and volunteer. She was famous for her delicious pecan rolls, black bottom pie and Swedish dinners. She enjoyed her Rook Club, sewing circle, listening to religious music and barbershop harmony, and the Chicago Cubs. We love you GR!
