Evelyn J. Olsen, 94, of Moline, died September 7, 2008 at Parkview Health Care Center.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 11, 2008 with a visitation one hour prior at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave. Moline. Burial will be in Rose-Lawn Memorial Gardens, Moline. Memorials may be made to the family.
Evelyn was born January 11, 1914 in Rock Island to Elijah and Margaret (Mayer) Davis. She married Chester Olsen on August 18, 1934 in Davenport, IA. He preceded her in death in 1970.
Evelyn ran her own drapery business for almost fifty years out of her home. She enjoyed the outdoor life especially fishing. She was a long-time member of the New Life Fellowship Church.
She is survived by

Linda (Duane) Spellious Moline
Lorne (Lenora) Lydic Silvis
Five great grandchildren Kyle, Jeremy, and Jason Lydic
Jake and Tyler Spellious
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Margaret Vance and Winona Steen, daughter Joyce Walters and her long-time companion Johnny Lyons.
