Faye Belton, age 74, of Orion, died Saturday, August 21, 2010 at Trinity, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 26, 2010 at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd. 1301-4th Street, Orion. Visitation is from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Western Township Cemetery, Orion. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established.
Faye was born May 10, 1936 in Humnoke, AR, the daughter of Joe and Pearl (Moss) King. She married Charles W. Belton on November 15, 1958 in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on August 4, 2001.
Faye was last employed as a cook at the Quad City International Airport. She was the past president of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. Faye enjoyed bird watching, fishing, and gardening. Her greatest joys were cooking family meals at the holidays, and spending time with her grandchildren.
