Fern H. Hammitt, 85 formerly of Moline died December 17, 2006 at Oak Glen Home, Coal Valley.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, December 21, 2006 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to Eagle Summit Southern Baptist Church, Colona.
Fern was born July 2, 1921 in Kingsley, IA to Ivan and Iva May (Claude) Croxell. She married Norman F. Hammitt on July 3, 1942 in Stanbury, MO.
Fern was employed by Robert Bartlett Family as a maid. She was a member of Eagle Summit Southern Baptist Church, Colona. She enjoyed dancing, sewing and cooking.
