Florian C. VanWatermeulen, 84, of East Moline, IL, died Thursday, October 24, 2013, at UnityPoint Health - Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, IL.
Funeral Services will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Per his wishes, cremation rites will follow services.
Florian was born on June 29, 1929, in Minneota, Minnesota the son of Jules and Alice (DeRook) VanWatermeulen. He married Sandra M. Anderson on May 31, 1961, in Moline, IL, and she preceded him in death on July 26, 2008.
Florian worked as a Journeyman Pressman for DeSaulnier's in Milan, IL, for 37 years. He was of the Catholic Faith and loved golfing and fishing.
