Floyd Alvin Whitehall, age 75, of Orion, died Friday, April 16, 2010 at Hillcrest Home, Geneseo.
A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at Orion United Methodist Church. Visitation is from 9:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd. is assisting the family.
Floyd was born July 20, 1934 in Keithsburg, IL the son of Roy and Hazel (McNall) Whitehall. He married his high school sweetheart, Bonnie Fauble on September 12, 1954 at the Methodist Church in Keithsburg.
Floyd was employed in quality control at American Air Filter and George Evans Corporation. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany from 1957-59. Floyd was a member of Orion United Methodist Church, and Orion Sherman Lodge #535. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, wood working, and traveling (visiting all 50 states). Floyd especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
