Frances R. Tholl, 68, of Orion, died Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Trinity Rock Island.
Funeral service will be at 12:30 P.M., Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Mary, Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Orion. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M., Friday, January 14, 2011 at the church. Burial will be in Western Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rock Island County Animal Shelter.
Frances was born on December 1, 1942 in Onawa, Iowa to Merle and Mary Culver Ruble. She married Robert Tholl on June 11, 1966 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Moline.
Frances graduated from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. She was employed by Connecticut Mutual Insurance, Davenport and by the Orion School District. She retired from the Rock Island Arsenal in 2005 having started her employment as a librarian and later becoming a computer technician in the tools, equipment and engineering department. Frances enjoyed needle point, cross stitching, knitting and animals especially cats. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed watching Ashley play softball and babysitting Chase
